Restaurant General Manager Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day restaurant activities while ensuring efficient and profitable performance
• Champion service standards and product quality while maintaining extensive menu knowledge
• Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, including marketing, HR, and sales
• Hire, coach, develop, and motivate a strong management and service team
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, reconciliations, labor, and administrative functions
• Implement company standards while reinforcing the restaurant’s culture, values, and connection to the local community
• Identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction, team performance, and overall profitability

Restaurant General Manager Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in upscale or elevated dining
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver consistently high service standards
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities
• Comfortable working with restaurant technology, financial reporting, and operational systems
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accountability
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
