Job Title: RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: Experience with high-risk maternal patients Must-Have: Candidates must have experience with high-risk maternal patients. Candidates must have experience with circulating operating room and triage. Description: This position involves providing care in a Level 4 designated maternal center. The unit cares for the most complex patients at any gestation. The facility has 22 beds, including 16 labor beds. There are approximately 100 staff members, including RNs and support staff. Staffing during the night shift includes a charge nurse, surgical techs, a unit clerk, and RNs to meet census requirements. Patient ratios range from 1:2 to 1:1. Common procedures performed include vaginal and Cesarean section deliveries, tubal ligations, cerclage placement and removal, and D&C C-hyst procedures. The ideal candidate will be a multi-tasker who can work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs. The unit has received recognition for excellence in maternity care and is committed to updating equipment and facilities. Leadership is tenured and fully supports the nursing staff, with management available for patient care as needed.
