Founding Spa Manager — New Hand & Stone Location
Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa | Wesley Chapel/Weddington, NC
Full-Time | $50,000–$60,000 Base Salary + Performance-Based Bonuses

We’re opening a brand-new Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa in Wesley Chapel/Weddington , and we’re looking for an exceptional Spa Manager to help us build something special from the ground up. This is not simply a role managing an existing operation. As our Founding Spa Manager , you’ll have the opportunity to help recruit the initial team, establish the culture, build our membership base, and set the standards that will shape our spa for years to come.

We’re looking for a driven, hands-on leader and business operator who loves developing people, understands sales, takes ownership of results, and knows that an exceptional guest experience and strong business performance go hand in hand.

What You'll Own:

Sales, Membership & Business Performance

• Lead the team in achieving membership, service, retail, and revenue goals
• Coach the front-desk team to improve membership conversions, upgrades, rebooking, and retention
• Build a strong membership culture focused on both acquisition and long-term member relationships
• Drive service-provider utilization through effective scheduling, rebooking, membership growth, and sales initiatives
• Monitor KPIs, identify opportunities, and create action plans to improve performance
• Take ownership of key business results, including sales, labor management, revenue, and profitability

Recruiting, Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a high-performing team
• Establish a positive culture built around accountability, teamwork, growth, and exceptional service
• Set clear expectations and coach employees toward measurable goals
• Recognize strong performance and address performance gaps promptly and professionally
• Create an environment where talented people want to stay, perform, and grow

Guest Experience

• Set the standard for an exceptional guest experience
• Build strong relationships with members and guests
• Resolve concerns professionally with a solutions-focused approach
• Ensure every interaction reflects Hand & Stone's commitment to wellness and outstanding service

Spa Operations

• Oversee daily spa operations, staffing, scheduling, and company standards
• Optimize staffing and schedules to support guest demand and business performance
• Maintain a clean, professional, organized, and welcoming environment
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and operational standards are consistently followed
• Use reporting and performance data to make informed business decisions

Who We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is someone who wants to lead a business, not simply manage a schedule. You may be a great fit if you have:

• 2–3+ years of management experience in a spa, salon, fitness, wellness, retail, hospitality, or other service or membership-based business
• Demonstrated success leading a sales-driven team
• Experience coaching employees toward measurable goals and KPIs
• Strong recruiting, training, and team-development skills
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
• A proactive, ownership-minded approach — you see what needs to be done and take action
• Comfort analyzing performance metrics and turning them into action
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and at least one weekend day
• A genuine interest in wellness and the benefits of massage and skincare services

Experience opening a new location, building a team from the ground up, growing a membership-based business, or managing budgets, labor, and profitability is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• $50,000–$60,000 base salary, based on experience + performance-based bonuses
