• Shift: 8-hour day shifts
• Schedule: Every other weekend rotation
• Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Behavioral health, mental health, or psychiatric care experience preferred
• 6 months or more of behavioral health experience encouraged to apply
• Strong crisis management and de-escalation skills
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and build therapeutic rapport
• Excellent communication, documentation, and observation skills
• Ability to work effectively on a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Physical ability to support patient care needs, including assisting with restraint procedures per policy
• Commitment to trauma-informed care and patient-centered care

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to patients in a behavioral health setting
• Assist with daily care needs while promoting safety, comfort, and dignity
• Monitor patient behavior and promptly communicate changes to the care team
• Use calm, professional de-escalation techniques to help maintain a therapeutic environment
• Support nurses and clinical staff in delivering trauma-informed care
• Follow unit policies and procedures, including safety measures and restraint protocols when needed
• Collaborate with nurses, mental health professionals, and other team members to promote positive patient outcomes
