Job Title Associate Director, Advanced Analytics – US Specialty Care Location Cambridge, MA Job Overview The Associate Director, Advanced Analytics – US Specialty Care will serve as the analytics lead for the US Specialty Care portfolio (non-Dupixent brands), responsible for predictive analytics, marketing effectiveness measurement, and budget optimization across multiple therapeutic areas via various datasets (including claims data, internal salesforce, and digital media data). This individual will leverage AI/ML models and marketing mix methodologies to generate actionable insights that drive promotional effectiveness and inform strategic resource allocation decisions. This role sits within the GTMC (Go-to-Market Capabilities) NA Organization, within the Insights & Analytics pillar. This role will be an integral partner to US Specialty Care Brand, Commercial, and Media teams, helping to answer both the “why” questions via driver analyses and the “what next” questions through marketing mix insights and optimization recommendations. The individual will also collaborate closely with the broader Analytics and Omnichannel teams to ensure consistency of business logic and analytical best practices across all deliverables. Key Responsibilities Cross‑Functional Partnership: Partner with senior leadership, brand, and commercial teams to understand business priorities, provide strategic guidance and ad‑hoc analytical support as the advanced analytics subject‑matter expert; lead a team in the offshore hub; collaborate with the Sanofi Data Management team and global digital team to ensure robust data infrastructure and quality; validate data sources and business logic across deliverables; assess media investment scenarios via optimizer tools; conduct Turing impact analysis; lead upskilling efforts, conduct workshops and training sessions with brand and media teams and agency partners to foster best practices. Hands‑On Insights Generation: Apply data science techniques including ML, statistical modelling (logistic regression, GBM, XGBoost, random forest, propensity score matching, inverse probability weighting, etc.) and AI to generate predictive and prescriptive insights that drive strategic decision‑making; clean, aggregate, and organise data from disparate sources; design, execute and interpret analyses of large healthcare datasets; translate findings into clear actionable recommendations for commercial and cross‑functional teams; create dashboards and analytical tools; automate work processes using AI tools such as Cursor or Claude Code. Modeling Project Leadership: Provide overarching project direction, translate key business questions into analytic frameworks and serve as SME on data, modelling methodology, outputs and applications; lead marketing mix modelling (MMM) analyses across US Specialty Care brands, from data preparation to modelling to insights delivery and budget optimisation recommendations; lead or collaborate on other predictive and statistical modelling initiatives (HCP segmentation, patient finding, diagnosis onset prediction, patient journey prediction, campaign impact measurement, A/B testing on Salesforce effectiveness, early adopter analysis, etc.); liaise with Sanofi Digital Data Science and Engineering teams; lead socialisation of project outputs and facilitate pull‑through with business stakeholders. Basic Qualifications Minimum 7+ years of commercial analytics, forecasting, sales operations or consulting experience, including 2+ years of direct advanced analytics involving ML models. Bachelor’s degree. Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in programming languages (SQL, Python, R, SAS, VBA) and analytical platforms (Snowflake, Jupyter Notebook, SAS Studio, SQL Developer). Experience with pharmaceutical sales and claims data (IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo, SP data), Salesforce execution data, and digital data (display, social, search). Strong analytical acumen; ability to translate information and data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Proficiency in modelling techniques (MMM, Bayesian statistics, propensity score matching, regression, clustering/segmentation, driver analyses, A/B testing). Deep understanding of sales, marketing, and media data including agencies. Familiarity with data visualisation and BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau). High proficiency in MS Office. Strong leadership, communication, presentation skills; experience leading cross‑functional projects and stakeholder management. Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed environment; self‑starter; proactive; ability to understand and influence decisions. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or MBA. Strong communication skills with executive presence. Certification in Data Science or Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning. Experience with Claude Code and Cursor to accelerate work efficiency. Experience with Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) analyses within the US pharmaceutical space. Experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, ideally in Specialty Care therapeutic areas including oncology, hematology, rheumatology, and/or immunology. Experience with media platform reporting tools (CM360, Search Ads 360, Meta Business Manager) and site analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics). Experience working with CRM data systems (Veeva, Salesforce, Merkle) and SP data files. French language proficiency an advantage.
