As a Psychologist or LCSW, you will maintain an active clinical caseload while helping shape behavioral health practices across residential and day programs. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team, mentor clinical staff, and support the development of effective, person-centered care strategies.

Responsibilities
1. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
2. Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).
3. Maintain an active clinical caseload and provide individual and group counseling using trauma-informed and person-centered approaches.
4. Supervise and mentor a team of Behavioral Intervention Specialists across residential and day programs.
5. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, psychiatrists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated care.
6. Develop and deliver staff training on behavioral interventions and best practices.
7. Participate in Human Rights Committee meetings and incident reviews.
8. Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations, quality assurance standards, and applicable reporting requirements.




































Requirements
1. Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) and current New York State licensure,or appropriate LCSW licensure and relevant clinical experience, depending on the candidate's qualifications.
2. At least two years of relevant post-licensure or post-doctoral clinical experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
3. Valid New York State Driver's License.
4. Demonstrated experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and developing comprehensive Behavior Support Plans.
5. Experience supervising clinical staff and providing professional training.




































Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience working in both residential and day habilitation settings.
2. Familiarity with OPWDD regulations, Human Rights Committee processes, and Justice Center reporting.
3. Strong leadership, communication, clinical assessment, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
