Hospitalist Physician Assistant

We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for Hospitalist coverage in Tennessee. This opportunity offers a mix of day and night shifts in an inpatient setting with no procedures required.

Assignment Details

• Hospitalist APP coverage
• Day and night shifts available
• Inpatient medicine service
• No procedures required

Schedule

NP/PA Coverage

• Day Shift: 10:00 AM 8:00 PM
• Night Shift: 8:00 PM 6:00 AM

Flexible scheduling opportunities may be available based on facility needs.

Practice Setting

• Inpatient Hospitalist Service
• Collaborative physician and APP team model

Work Details

• No procedures required
• Average service volume: approximately 93 encounters per day across the team
• Adult inpatient medicine coverage
• Collaborative care environment

Requirements Nurse Practitioners

• Graduate of an accredited NP program
• Active Tennessee RN and NP license
• Tennessee DEA with prescriptive authority
• AANP or ANCC certification
• ACLS and PALS required
• Hospitalist or related inpatient experience preferred
• New graduates may be considered based on facility needs

Requirements Physician Assistants

• Graduate of an accredited PA program
• Active Tennessee PA license
• Active DEA with required Tennessee schedules
• NCCPA certification
• ACLS and PALS required
• Hospitalist or related inpatient experience preferred
• New graduates may be considered with mentorship/proctorship availability

Additional Requirements

• Current immunization documentation
• Recent TB screening documentation
• Case logs from the past two years
• Required CME/CEU documentation
• Ability to meet credentialing and privileging requirements
