Legacy Health Epic Applications Systems Analyst II – Professional Billing Job ID: 26-47259 Type: Regular Full‑Time Location: Homebased EE Oregon Overview This is a virtual role open to candidates working from Oregon or Washington. While the position is primarily virtual, there may be occasions when on‑site work is required at a designated Legacy Health location. All new hires are required to travel to a Legacy Health office in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date to complete a new‑hire health assessment and new‑hire paperwork. Initial training and orientation may be conducted on site before transitioning to the remote schedule. In this Applications Systems Analyst II role, you will analyze, build, test, support, and maintain systems that benefit our hospital system and the communities we serve. You may also formulate and define system functionality and objectives through research and fact‑finding to support the development, configuration, and ongoing support of information systems. With a strong customer‑service orientation, this role analyzes, designs, implements, and supports new information systems and modifications to existing systems by: Collaboratively working with users and IS peers to understand and capture business needs and develop requirements for small to medium applications. Analyzing and documenting application processes and functions. Defining design alternatives and recommendations and developing specifications, often in collaboration with business partners or vendors. Building or configuring systems. Developing and executing test scripts to ensure software accuracy, completion, and validity. Developing IS internal procedures and documentation. Working with customers to troubleshoot and solve moderately complex problems and provide production support. Communicating with customers regarding the status and completion of requests in an agreed‑upon, timely manner and/or in accordance with an applicable Service Level Agreement. Documenting in the ITSM system to define standards. Thoroughly and diligently following change‑control processes, when applicable. Following IS‑defined support model and expectations in communicating with customers. Using Lean and ITIL principles to investigate and improve existing inter‑ or intra‑team processes. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted for educational requirements. Experience: 2+ years of information technology experience in relevant healthcare or business area. Has worked in a healthcare setting, and/or in a relevant operational area for the position (i.e., Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Revenue Cycle, etc.), and/or in an information technology role supporting a relevant operational area. Skills: Knowledgeable about key concepts, current developments, and trends in information technology and information systems relevant to the position, including application configuration and system layers, system integration, and database fundamentals. Demonstrated ability to perform systematic, thorough analysis and problem solving, and to initiate client problem resolution. Understanding of system integration key concepts and technical protocols. Demonstrated ability to establish, conceive and describe systems, designs, flow charts, schedules, and requirements. Strong interpersonal skills that promote effective working relationships with a wide range of people, including peers. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
