Senior Systems Engineer

Salary: $93,000 - 133,000 per year Requirements:

• We need 5+ years of progressive experience in endpoint engineering, systems administration, or senior IT support in an enterprise setting.
• We require strong hands-on experience with Windows 11, Microsoft 365 E5, Entra ID, and Microsoft Intune/Autopilot zero-touch deployment workflows.
• We expect proven expertise using remote support tools and privileged administrative access to carry out advanced endpoint troubleshooting and system remediation.
• We need practical knowledge of local network troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switches, patch panels, and Wi-Fi access points, to work effectively with our remote Senior Network Architect.
• We value hands-on experience or familiarity with SolarWinds or similar enterprise monitoring platforms for performance tracking, alert handling, and health reporting.
• We need exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of delivering patient, high-touch support to executive leadership and critical utility operations teams.
• We require strong organizational discipline and the ability to create clear SOPs, technical escalation notes, and site infrastructure diagrams while collaborating across teams.
• We need candidates able to work full-time onsite in Costa Mesa, CA and meet client onboarding/background clearance requirements.
• Preferred qualifications include Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent certifications.
• Prior experience supporting public utilities, municipal water organizations, critical infrastructure, or high-touch VIP enterprise accounts is preferred.
• We also require the physical ability to move throughout office and utility operations spaces, lift and position IT equipment up to 40 lbs, assemble hardware, connect cabling, and communicate clearly while analyzing diagnostics.

• We manage end-to-end device lifecycles through Microsoft Autopilot and Intune, including zero-touch provisioning, profile setup, application deployment, and compliance enforcement.
• We establish secure elevated remote administration workflows to perform deep operating system, driver, and application remediation on end-user devices.
• We use SolarWinds to monitor network and system performance in real time, respond to alerts proactively, and produce health reports.
• We lead local network troubleshooting across switches, patch panels, cabling, VLAN access, and Wi-Fi access points, while partnering with our remote Senior Network Architect to resolve core infrastructure issues.
• We support local identity and access processes in Entra ID, including group policy application, Conditional Access troubleshooting, and MFA resolution.
• We serve as the onsite escalation lead for complex endpoint, identity, and systems issues across the Costa Mesa facility, and we help remote Chief Architects test and validate global policies before rollout.
• We deliver white-glove technical support to executive leadership and critical utility operations staff.
• We maintain accurate support tickets, SOPs, local IT infrastructure floor and rack diagrams, and knowledge base content while following change control, security, and escalation procedures.
