Outside Sales Representative

Principal Duties Familiarize with design and application of contractual and accessory lines supported by Fluid Flow. Work with service technicians to maximize their effectiveness: sell service contracts, acquire new customers, and capture accounts. Make direct calls in the market area to promote the full product line, aftermarket, and service sales; grow the business to support additional support and service staff. Solicit assigned customers’ inquiries and orders, handling negotiations, adjustments, and complaints with assistance from applications engineering, technical inside sales, and dedicated customer service. Set up and perform equipment surveys, and accompany auditors on air audits that are sold. Assist in resolving customer‑initiated technical issues. Pursue professional education through principal‑sponsored schools, membership in industry associations, contacts with potential equipment sources, internet/catalog reviews, and self‑study. Maintain the CRM opportunities database (SalesForce) current, using it as a directional tool for oneself and a communication tool with others in the organization. Review assigned sales territory/accounts, and organize coverage to minimize wasted effort while maximizing face‑to‑face selling time and profit. Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities; surveying consumer needs and trends. Immediate Priority Grow the territory sales and margin. Leverage existing inside sales and customer service staff for consultation on present and long‑term accounts. Short‑Term Actions Provide seamless coverage (personal, phone, email) with customers. Latch onto and close opportunities that surface; develop projects uncovered through personal and prior sales efforts.
