JOB DESCRIPTION

Outsmart Labs is looking for a creative, social-first Social Media Manager with a strong focus on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, short-form video production, and content creation.

We're looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, has a strong creative eye, understands what makes content engaging, and knows how to turn everyday moments into compelling videos.

This is a highly hands-on role. The ideal candidate is comfortable going on-site to capture content for clients, filming with an iPhone, editing short-form videos, and producing fresh, original content on a weekly basis.

We're especially interested in someone who understands Instagram and TikTok culture, emerging trends, creative transitions, storytelling, and the editing techniques that make content feel authentic, aesthetically compelling, and relevant.

Beyond content creation, this person will also contribute to social media strategy, content planning, community management, and the execution of campaigns across multiple client accounts. You'll work closely with our Social Media, Account Management, and Content Production teams to develop creative concepts and bring them to life.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation & Short-Form Video Production

• Plan, film, and edit original short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social platforms.
• Capture content on-site at client locations, events, restaurants, and other environments on a weekly basis.
• Produce visually compelling, aesthetically strong, and engaging videos that reflect each client's brand identity.
• Edit short-form videos using tools such as CapCut, Inshot, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar editing software.
• Apply creative editing techniques, including transitions, pacing, sound design, text overlays, and trending audio.
• Develop original content concepts that go beyond trends and help brands stand out on social media.
• Identify opportunities to capture spontaneous, behind-the-scenes, lifestyle, and culturally relevant content.
• Stay up to date with Instagram and TikTok trends, platform updates, emerging content formats, and evolving editing styles.

Social Media Management & Strategy

• Develop and execute creative social media strategies aligned with client objectives and brand positioning.
• Develop original, engaging concepts for social media posts, carousels, and Instagram Stories, translating ideas into clear, detailed creative briefs for the design team to execute.
• Manage content calendars across multiple client accounts, ensuring a consistent flow of fresh, relevant content.
• Collaborate with the Social Media and Content Production teams to brainstorm concepts, plan shoots, and execute campaigns.
• Create engaging social media content, including Reels, TikToks, Stories, carousels, and captions.
• Develop creative Instagram Stories that encourage interaction and audience engagement.
• Identify opportunities for brands to participate in relevant cultural conversations and social media trends.
• Monitor social media performance and use insights to optimize content strategies.
• Support community management and engagement initiatives across client accounts.
• Proactively manage and engage with client communities through comments, DMs, and relevant conversations, building authentic relationships, encouraging interaction, and identifying opportunities to grow brand visibility and engagement.
• Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines while maintaining a creative, platform-native approach.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
• Strong experience creating and editing TikTok videos and Instagram Reels.
• Proven ability to independently plan, film, and edit engaging short-form video content.
• Excellent creative eye, with a strong understanding of visual aesthetics, composition, storytelling, and editing.
• Advanced knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, emerging social trends, and platform-specific content formats.
• Proficiency in CapCut, Figma, Canva or similar video editing tools.
• Comfortable filming content with an iPhone and/or professional cameras.
• Experience creating content on-site for brands, businesses, events, or clients.
• Ability to develop original content ideas and execute them independently.
• Strong understanding of social media strategy, content calendars, copywriting, and community management.
• Experience with Canva and Figma for creating social media graphics, Instagram Stories, carousels, and other digital assets.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple client accounts and weekly content deadlines.
• Proactive, adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced creative agency environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

BONUS

• Experience creating content for hospitality, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, or luxury brands.
• Experience with photography and professional camera equipment.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with Figma.
• Experience appearing on camera or directing talent for social media content.
• Fluent in more than one language.

A portfolio showcasing short-form video content is required.

We're particularly interested in seeing TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, creative editing, original content concepts, and examples of content you have personally filmed and edited.

LOCATION & AVAILABILITY

This is a full-time position based in downtown Miami, with in-office requirements and regular on-site content shoots at client locations.

Local candidates only. No full-time remote work.

We are looking to fill this position immediately.

Salary

$55,000 to $60,000 USD per year based on experience
