RN Internal Traveler EndoscopyBoulder Community Health is seeking an Internal Traveler Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy Department who coordinates total nursing care for the peri-operative procedure patient. Provides intensive observation and care for the pre- and post-operative procedure patient for which an anesthetic agent or moderate sedation was used.Pay range is between $70 - $120/hr. Rates are market dependent and will be determined at the time of written offer. +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts. Contracts are 13 weeks. External applications accepted. New hires cannot be ex-BCH employees within 6 months. Weekends required. Internal travelers are not eligible for medical, dental, vision, or life insurance.Qualifications include Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing, Basic Life Support (BLS) required through the American Heart Association, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required through the American Heart Association, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required through the American Heart Association, and a strong history of Endoscopy specific experience is preferred.Responsibilities include providing safe, competent, effective nursing care in accordance with hospital, OCC/PACUs standards of care, policies and procedures; demonstrating basic knowledge of care of the peri-operative/procedure patient; assessing patient status systematically and anticipating and responding to changes in patient clinical condition; demonstrating knowledge of arrhythmia recognition and treatment modalities; administering medications and performing treatments as ordered; maintaining complete and accurate documentation; ability to assess, treat and/or care for patients with regard to age; actively seeking the participation of members of the health care team and patient’s family to ensure continuity of care; preparing specimens and lab forms for laboratory analysis.Boulder Community Health (BCH) is a not-for-profit healthcare organization based in Boulder, Colorado, serving the Boulder County community.
