Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

PACU Registered Nurse – RecoveryShift options include 4x10s (no call) or 3x12s (with call); Monday–Friday, no weekends required.Unit census is approximately 40 patients per day with 17 PACU beds. Guaranteed hours may be affected by facility needs, with specific time off requests considered but not guaranteed.Compact state license must be in hand at submission. Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience required; first-time travel nurses require 3+ years of PACU experience. Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS. Experience with post-anesthesia care and various surgical procedures is essential. Travel experience is required.Provide Phase I and Phase II PACU care to post-anesthesia patients. Manage post-operative airway and respiratory needs, including ventilated patients. Monitor hemodynamics, including arterial lines and central line care. Administer pain management therapies, including PCA and nerve blocks. Perform blood product administration and ABG interpretation. Recognize and manage dysrhythmias.Compliance with scheduling restrictions and submission of time-off requests are required. Background checks are also mandatory, with specific terms noted at the submission.
