Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with patient ratios of 1-3 - Required charting system experience (Epic) - Ability to float to different units as needed Description: The registered nurse will provide care in the Labor and Delivery setting. Experience in postpartum care is preferred. The registered nurse must be able to meet staffing needs, including weekends. The unit cares for high-risk obstetrics and a culturally diverse population. Registered nurses will circulate in cesarean sections and assist with various procedures. Nurses are responsible for monitoring maternal and fetal well-being. They will perform assessments and provide education to parents. This role requires administration of medications and management of intravenous therapies. The registered nurse will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. Attendance at 2 out of 3 major holidays is expected. Travelers may be required to float to nearby facilities as needed. Providing excellent patient care and fostering a supportive environment is essential. Strong clinical skills and effective communication are crucial for success in this role.
