Senior Risk Manager for Global Company

Global transportation company seeking a Senior Risk Manager to lead enterprise-wide insurance and risk financing programs. This role owns the full insurance lifecycle—designing and managing global programs across auto, liability, workers’ comp, and property—while driving reductions in Total Cost of Risk. The Risk Manager will partner with brokers, carriers, and TPAs, oversee claims strategy, and support complex operations including fleet, logistics, and cross-border exposures. Ideal candidate brings deep experience in transportation risk, global program structuring, and captive utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Global Insurance Program Leadership:

Design and manage comprehensive insurance programs aligned with the company’s risk appetite and global business strategy

• Program Structuring & Placement - Oversee placement of core and complex coverages, including General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Auto, Umbrella/Excess, Foreign Liability, Property
• Risk Financing Strategy - Analyze and recommend optimal risk financing structures, including retention levels, risk transfer strategies, and use of a Bermuda-domiciled captive insurance entity
• Data & Renewals Management - Validate exposure data for submissions; lead renewal processes; perform financial analysis and budgeting for insurance programs
• Policy & Compliance Oversight - Review and ensure accuracy of policy documentation; coordinate with brokers and carriers to resolve discrepancies and maintain compliance
• Claims Governance - Oversee claims across Workers’ Compensation, Auto, General Liability, and Property; monitor TPA and carrier performance, analyze loss trends, and implement strategies to reduce claim costs and improve outcomes
• Vendor Management: - Manage relationships with brokers, insurers, and TPAs to ensure service quality and program effectiveness
• Audit & Reporting- Prepare data and documentation for insurer audits and internal reporting
• Enterprise Risk Advisory - Serve as a key risk advisor on contracts, real estate, new ventures, and business initiatives; review and negotiate contracts
• Leadership & Collaboration - Supervise Risk/Claims Manager and partner with cross-functional teams to advance risk management objectives; contribute to policy updates and budget planning
