We are currently seeking a full-time Family or Internal Medicine Physician to join our dynamic team at our Fair Oaks Wellness Center. This beautiful, state-of-the-art clinic cares for a truly unique all-adult patient population of retired First Responders and their dependents. Why You Will Love This Role Low patient volume (10-14 patients a day) – Focus on outcomes, prevention, and patient engagement…not volume. Smaller patient panels that allow for deeper, more impactful care. Built in dedicated time both in the mornings and afternoons for charting and other administrative functions 30- and 60-minute appointment times Sustainable schedule of 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday – Friday with no nights, no late clinics and no call. Emphasis on lifestyle medicine, education, and long-term wellness Collaborate with experienced healthcare professionals on-site in the clinic; Registered Nurses, Licensed Professional Counselors, Clinical Pharmacist, Ultrasound Sonographers, etc. Responsibilities Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients to meet their needs Educates patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials and resources to the patients Determines which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs Determines level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments Exercises final medical judgment in all issues of health care Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients Orders studies, tests, and ancillary services Documents all services in patient medical record in the EHR Reviews on a regular basis long term cases that require ongoing medical attention Consults with Physician Lead, Director of Medicine, and other professionals on staff as needed regarding patient care, assessment, and educational issues Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by Health by Design Assists as needed in the resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients Assists in the development, production, and presentation of medical education, material, lectures, and mixed media presentations for patient and medical staff Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations Requirements Graduate of accredited US School of Medicine; MD or DO
