This is an hourly position that reports directly to the Machining Foreman. PRIMARY DUTIESPerform various machining and fabrication dutiesAssist with checking accuracy and quality of all phases of fabricationOperate basic shop equipment, including shear, press, iron worker, etc.Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as requiredMaintain accurate records and paperwork for projectsContribute to a positive work environmentDemonstrate awareness, engagement, and accountability for work resultsCommunicate effectively and appropriately with others in the work environmentAdherent to company policies as dictated in the current employee handbookTake an active role in company programs, meetings, and eventsPerform other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or EquivalentMath skills to take precise measurements and make calculationsDemonstrated oral and written communication skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specificationsProblem -solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing processAbility to move roughly 50 to 75 lbs. and remain stationery throughout a shiftUnderstanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidentsBasic knowledge of cutting and weldingAble to operate various machining tools efficiently and effectivelyTechnical CapacityTime ManagementProblem solving/analysisResults Driven Fisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
