Speech-Language Pathologist Full Time Grant County, Silver City, NM, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 1165 Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) Job Category: Service Provider Reports To: Program Director FLSA: Exempt Basic Functions: Provide prevention, assessment and remediation services to patients who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language, speech, voice, and fluency. Scope: SLP leads the Speech Therapy process in development, implementation, and coordination of the speech-language therapy program and participating in business operating duties. Qualifications: Certification of Clinical Competence with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association License or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department Graduation from Accredited Speech-Language Pathology Master’s Program Duties and Responsibilities: Works towards fulfilling Company’s Mission, Vision and Values. Selects/implements evidence-based practices which supports the goals and objectives of the speech-language program. Participates in multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results, integrate findings with other disciplines, offer recommendations, and develop individual treatment programs. Monitors and reassess the effects of speech-language therapy intervention and the need to continue, modify, or discontinue intervention. Teaches, monitors, and collaborates with support personnel and patient family to facilitate skills in areas of speech and language. Participates in team discussions in an articulate, positive, and productive manner. Maintains assigned equipment in proper working order. Performs routines repairs. Completes all documentation in a timely manner. Maintains proficiency in speech-language therapy by attending workshops, conferences and trainings offered by other therapists. Attends all mandatory in-services and participates in Company committees as requested by supervisor. May represent the Company while participating in community outreach events, activities, meetings, trainings, etc. Responds to emergency situations in a competent manner. Adheres to SLP licensure requirements. Adheres to established guidelines within Company’s Official Documents. Assists in quality management, research, public relations, and program development projects when appropriate. Participates in Company’s Professional Development Plan. May be assigned to be a clinical supervisor for assistant level students. Carries out all responsibilities professionally and efficiently. Maintains effective communications at all levels; within the work setting and company Performs other duties as assigned. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Due to the nature of the Company, service delivery settings will vary. Must be able to adapt to a variety of settings and be willing to work in clinical, community, and home settings. Work area may be crowded. Working schedule may vary due to the nature of the business. Duties may involve being on one’s feet for extended periods. Duties may involve traveling to and from areas within the county(s) served by the Company.
