Position Summary

As Head of Foundry Operations, you will oversee external manufacturing and be responsible for ensuring that our foundry and outsourced assembly and test (OSAT) partners meet production schedules, yield metrics, and cost targets. This role requires a strong technical background in semiconductor fabrication to effectively coordinate engineering requirements between internal teams and external foundry partners during product launch and volume production.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for high-volume semiconductor foundries and OSAT partners.
• Plan, manage, and track lot schedules and metrics including yield, performance, cost.
• Drive continuous improvement in wafer/die yields, defect reduction, and throughput.
• Partner with product development to ensure foundry process, tool, and capability readiness for seamless manufacturing launch.
• Provide insights to inform design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT) activities.
• Monitor and secure foundry allocation and capacity to meet fluctuating market demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field. (Ph.D. is a plus).
• 10+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing operations, with 5+ years specifically managing fabrication foundries and OSATs.
• Deep understanding of compound semiconductor device design, testing, and fabrication processes.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record of managing diverse vendor teams.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
