Activity Assistant
Join Our Team at Towson Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center!
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team at Towson Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Towson, Maryland. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and carrying out activity programs for our residents, providing them with opportunities to engage in meaningful activities that promote socialization, recreation, and overall well-being.
About the Role:
Assist in the planning, organizing, and carrying out of activity programs for residents, including social activities, outdoor activities, discussion groups, gardening, and arts and crafts
Document activity programs and resident participation
Decorate resident areas and assist residents with getting to and from activity groups
Work collaboratively with our Director of Activities to ensure seamless program implementation
May be required to work weekends and holidays
Requirements:
At least one year of experience in a long-term care facility
Ability to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service to our residents
Possess strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
