Medical Front Office Receptionist
to be the first point of contact for our patients and help ensure a seamless front office experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors promptly with a cheerful and professional demeanor
- Determine purpose of visit and direct patients appropriately
- Ensure patients complete and update necessary documentation
- Check in patients using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Schedule and confirm appointments, procedures, and consultations
- Answer incoming calls and route messages accurately
- Verify and update financial information; collect patient payments as needed
- Transmit correspondence and medical records via mail, email, or fax
- Collect urine specimens for patients receiving controlled substances
- Support a positive patient experience while optimizing provider schedules
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 12 years of reception or customer service experience preferred
- Medical office administration training or certification preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Professional, patient-focused approach to handling concerns
