Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and consistent execution
Lead, coach, and mentor the culinary team while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence
Maintain the highest standards of food quality, consistency, presentation, and execution
Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development, seasonal specials, and culinary innovation
Manage food costs, inventory, ordering, and product utilization to meet financial objectives
Ensure exceptional food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization standards
Develop and implement training programs, recipes, and standardized procedures
Manage kitchen scheduling, staffing, and team development to support operational needs
Work alongside the team during service, providing hands-on leadership and maintaining an efficient, organized kitchen
Monitor kitchen performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, consistency, and overall execution

Chef de Cuisine Qualifications

Previous Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, or comparable kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant
Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a culinary team
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, menu execution, inventory management, and food cost controls
Passion for quality ingredients, culinary creativity, consistency, and exceptional guest experiences
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective in a fast-paced environment
Current ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain it upon hire
