Job Title and Location Branch Manager II (Open) – Concord, CA Overview We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee daily store operations, manage sales and margin achievement, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on customer service, inventory management, team leadership, and financial processing. Responsibilities Oversee daily store operations to achieve sales and margin goals. Promote sales and deliver excellent customer service. Maintain inventory levels and manage expenses through effective purchasing. Ensure safety, regulatory standards, and housekeeping across the facility. Provide professional customer support for product, pricing, and technical inquiries. Support the outside sales team and nurture client relationships. Process daily financial transactions including cash reports, charge tickets, coding, costing, pricing, daily cash summaries, and bank deposits. Maintain accuracy of back‑order, open‑order, and purchase‑order reports. Cultivate and refine cylinder and hard‑goods inventory levels. Lead training for inside sales associates on product knowledge, policies, procedures, and safety. Conduct periodic performance reviews for branch associates. Act as a performance mentor and liaison between staff and senior management. Required Qualifications 2+ years of management experience in a customer‑facing environment. Experience in a retail or industrial distribution setting, leading teams. Ability to lift up to 75lbs (occasionally up to 125lbs with equipment). Proficient computer skills and willingness to learn new digital tools. Ability to navigate multiple priorities concurrently. Self‑motivated with a focus on team success. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the welding, gas, or safety industry. 3+ years in a role focused on team growth and operational efficiency. 5+ years’ experience in sales with measurable contributions. Experience with inventory cultivation and vendor relationship management. Benefits Competitive salary ($75,000‑$105,000).
