Position Details Title: Security Officer Patrol Guard Location: Syracuse, NY Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.75 / Hour Schedule: Mon: 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM Thur: 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM Fri: 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM Sun: 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assisting with crowd flow, visitor inquiries, and policy compliance during routine operations and special events. Support loss prevention and property protection efforts by observing activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and coordinating with management and/or public emergency responders when appropriate. Minimum Requirements A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
