A general die maintenance positions responsibility includes: assisting with the cleaning of dies and tooling, cleaning up work areas, transporting materials, operating basic tools and equipment, using safe work practices, maintaining a safe work environment, while taking direction and supporting journeyman tool makers, leadmen and supervisors. This individual needs to be mechanically minded with attention to detail.

- Mechanically oriented, enjoys hands-on projects.
- Learning how a tool is assembled and disassembled, cleaned, pressure checked, plumbed, etc. in a safe way.
- Proficient at disassembling, cleaning and reassembling, plumbing of tools efficiently & safely.
- Works independently and reliably.
- Follows directions from Project Manager, keeps that person informed of issues on each project.
- Coaches Level I individuals to help them reach proficiency.
- Great communication skills.
- The ability to take direction and work well with others.
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Enjoys disassembly and reassembly of items.
- Can complete a job with minimal supervision.
- Self-efficient.
- Good work ethic.
- Great attitude.
- Mechanically inclined
