Regional Sales Manager - Heavy Duty

*Position covers Kentucky, Indiana, Southern Ohio and Pittsburgh. Candidate must be located in or near Cincinnati, Ohio.

Description:

Regional Sales Manager’s position responsible for being the primary sales, service, and technical training liaison between the manufacturer and the W.D. Customers, Heavy Duty Distributors, OE Dealers, Fleets, and Installer Customers for multiple product lines. Face to face sales calls to maintain existing sales base and develop opportunities for existing product line growth and development of new product lines within the customer base. Products are sold primarily to Commercial Vehicle customers of all types.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Actively identify and prospect areas for opportunity and growth.
• Know the products’ features and benefits and be able to train others on product function, attributes, and applications.
• Know the customers’ organizations, policies, people, programs, and products.
• Support both manufacturers’ and customers’ programs.
• Cultivate and report competitive information.
• Complete forecasts, required reports, and market survey assignments accurately, completely, and on time.

• Combine knowledge of the manufacturer’s abilities, the customer’s needs, and the competition to develop sales strategies.
• Develop customers’ faith in you and the company to be a dependable selling and service solution. Become your customers’ primary and first source for solutions to their needs.
• Develop a strong sense of time and territory management to effectively and efficiently use your time.
• Be able to cut through to the key decision makers at assigned accounts.
• Continuously review and improve personal organizational techniques and selling skills.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to build relationships.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and be comfortable with and continuously improve upon Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Basic technical knowledge of Automotive and / or Heavy Duty Trucks preferred.
• Proven sales experience a must.
• Clean driving record

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.

Other:

•  Extensive overnight travel required.
