Valet Attendant

Provide exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner Park and retrieve guest vehicles promptly and safely Assist guests with luggage, including delivery and pickup of guest luggage where applicable Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet and use guest last names during interactions Use the salutation of the day and proper Towne Park phone etiquette Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks Assist with bell services and luggage storage as needed Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries Provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and area attractions Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested Shuttle guests to approved locations Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures Issue and collect claim checks and keys according to procedures Complete and maintain valet ticket information, including key tags, guest folios, vehicle location, damage surveys and claim check receipts Calculate and collect vehicle revenue when needed Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Must hold a valid driver's license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work (as applicable) One (1) month related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services Ability to read and write standard English language Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos Ability to write simple correspondence Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units of American money Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed Ability to perform parallel parking Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable Core Competencies Demonstrates exceptional hospitality and customer service skills, with the ability to assist guests efficiently and maintain a professional demeanor.
