LAB TECHNICIAN PT (12693)

Job Summary Perform and review various routine and complex clinical laboratory tests according to departmental policies and professional standards to include maintenance, calibration and quality control in a cost-effective manner. Prepare test reports and notify appropriate healthcare professional of atypical/critical values with documentation. Assist with clerk, phlebotomy, specimen processing and pathology assistant functions as needed. Assume responsibility for complex problem-solving, exceptions handling, and student clinical training. Collect/Process chain of custody urine drug screens and breathalyzer tests. Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences. Uphold and promote patient safety and quality. Qualifications & Education Associate's degree in clinical laboratory sciences or equivalent with completion of clinical requirements. National certification required. Experience Six months of clinical laboratory experience preferred. Additional Skills & Abilities Must have the ability to prioritize, multi-task, remain calm under stress, and communicate effectively. Basic computer skills required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
