ABOUT THE RESTAURANT

A restaurant in the heart of Blowing Rock, North Carolina, is entering an exciting new chapter under new ownership and management. With a renewed focus on exceptional hospitality, elevated service standards, and a chef-driven culinary experience, we're building a team dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences.

Our culinary approach celebrates Appalachian ingredients, local farms, and seasonal flavors, combining regional traditions with modern techniques and thoughtful presentation.

THE ROLE

We are seeking warm, personable, and hospitality-driven Restaurant Hosts to create exceptional first and lasting impressions for our guests.

This guest-facing position is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations and seating, coordinating dining room flow, and supporting a seamless restaurant experience. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and attentive to detail, with a genuine passion for hospitality, teamwork, and making every guest feel valued.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Guest Experience & Hospitality

• Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
• Create memorable first and final impressions that encourage guests to return.
• Recognize returning guests and anticipate special requests, celebrations, and preferences.
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and communicate restaurant information confidently.
• Address guest questions and concerns with professionalism and care.

Reservations & Dining Room Coordination

• Manage reservations, walk-ins, waitlists, and seating arrangements.
• Coordinate seating to support guest preferences, server sections, and efficient service flow.
• Monitor table availability, dining room pacing, and wait times.
• Communicate guest needs and special requests to servers, culinary teams, and restaurant leadership.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming entrance and host area.

Teamwork & Service Excellence

• Develop knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, and the overall dining experience.
• Collaborate with front-of-house and culinary teams to ensure seamless guest service.
• Participate in training, menu tastings, and ongoing hospitality education.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, presentation, and guest care.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in restaurants, hotels, retail, guest services, or hospitality preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage reservations, guest requests, and dining room coordination.
• Experience in upscale dining, farm-to-table, or chef-driven restaurants is a plus but not required.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Ability to stand and remain active throughout shifts.
