Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for an assignment lasting approximately 16-26 weeks. The role involves providing specialized perioperative patient care in a fast-paced trauma Level 1 hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

Administer preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care to surgical patients.
Collaborate with surgical team members, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and techs, to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Maintain sterile techniques and ensure all OR protocols are followed rigorously.
Document patient assessments, surgical procedures, and anesthesia details accurately in electronic medical records.
Assist with emergency interventions and respond promptly to urgent patient needs.
Adhere to infection control standards and safety procedures throughout all surgical activities.

Qualifications:

Hold a valid RN license with recent operating room experience.
Have at least 2 years of OR nursing experience, preferably in large trauma facilities.
Demonstrate strong EPIC electronic medical record proficiency within the past two years.
Possess circulating and scrub skills, with checklists available in the application packet.
Be experienced in diverse surgical disciplines, including ortho, URO, oncology, Da Vinci Robotics, neuro, and trauma.
Previous travel nursing experience required.
