Infrastructure Engineer - OnsiteGenesis10 is currently seeking an Infrastructure Engineer - Onsite for a contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in Itasca, IL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role is part of a data center team responsible for the design, build, operation, and continuity of physical data center environments. The successful candidate will have the skills necessary to deploy server and network technology, understand data center power and equipment connectivity, and ensure critical banking applications and infrastructure remain secure, highly available, and resilient.Responsibilities:Perform physical data center operations such as rack-and-stack, structured copper and fiber cabling installation, hardware break-fix, and asset managementInstall, configure, and support local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systemsDiagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problemsDeploy server and network technology within data centersOperate within formal change, incident, and access management processesCollaborate closely with internal engineering teams, vendors, and remote handsEnsure deliverables are secure, scalable, and reliableRequirements:6-8 years of experience in a related fieldDirect experience with physical data center operations including rack-and-stack, structured copper and fiber cabling, hardware break-fix, and asset managementSolid understanding of power, cooling, and physical security controlsStrong ability to identify, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirementsHands-on enterprise data center experienceDesired skills:Experience with standard tooling such as ServiceNow, Jira, CMDB, and DCIM systemsKnowledge of Machine Learning, Risk Assessments, and Enterprise Architecture FrameworksPay range: $37.00 - $43.00 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
