Endoscopy Technician

Sentara Martha Jefferson hospital is hiring an Endoscopy Technician for a full‑time day shift position in Charlottesville, VA. Schedule is 4‑9 hour shifts, call 1 day per week and every 4th weekend 4pm to 6am. About the Department The Endoscopy Lab at Sentara Martha Jefferson sees an average of 16‑18 patients per day and is open from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The Digestive Care Center’s board‑certified gastroenterologists, including two advanced gastroenterology specialists and a colorectal surgeon, treat a variety of diseases affecting the gallbladder, liver, mouth, stomach, intestines, pancreas, colon, and esophagus. Responsibilities The Endoscopy Technician assists with patient care in the Endoscopy Department. They will be familiar with gastrointestinal and pulmonary diseases and assist during endoscopic procedures. The endoscopy tech is responsible for the preparation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies. This position functions under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
