Registered Nurse (RN), Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Type: Full-Time | Nights Schedule: 3x12, Days (7p-7a), Rotating Weekends Sign-On: $10,000 for well qualified applicants Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Pulaski is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. This role involves providing critical care coordination and direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting. Responsibilities Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care as appropriate. Documents patient care accurately and timely. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and mobility. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge planning, referrals, and psychosocial support needs. Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Qualifications Licensure: Current Tennessee or compact-state RN license; must file Tennessee paperwork within 30 days of hire if licensed from a compact state. Education: Associate's degree required; BSN preferred. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP within 90 days of hire; HWC within 6 months; Basic Arrhythmia course within 90 days. Experience: One year of prior ICU experience preferred. Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment.
