Finance Associate Attorney AmLaw 100 Opportunity Compensation$310,000 – $425,000+
A nationally recognized AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a Finance Associate Attorney to join its New York office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing banks, private credit funds, private equity sponsors, institutional lenders, borrowers, and other financial institutions in sophisticated financing transactions.
Ideal Background• 3–6 years of finance experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
• Experience representing commercial banks, private credit funds, direct lenders, institutional investors, private equity sponsors, borrowers, and financial institutions
• Experience handling acquisition financings, leveraged finance transactions, syndicated credit facilities, asset-based lending, refinancing transactions, recapitalizations, and general corporate lending matters
• Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements, commitment papers, security agreements, guaranties, collateral documents, intercreditor agreements, and other financing documents
• Experience with secured and unsecured lending, revolving credit facilities, term loans, cash flow lending, and sponsor-backed financings
• Experience managing transactions from structuring through closing while coordinating with lenders, borrowers, sponsors, and multidisciplinary deal teams
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated financing matters while maintaining significant client interaction
• Excellent academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
