Pharmacist Role At Chesapeake Regional RxChesapeake Regional Rx (CPRX) is a pharmacist-founded, closed-door long-term care pharmacy in Wilmington, DE, serving skilled nursing, assisted living, and residential care facilities across New Castle County, Newark, Wilmington, Dover, and the surrounding region.Job ResponsibilitiesOrder Fulfillment & DispensingPrepackage and label medications for dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacistOperate automated packaging and dispensing equipmentStage filled prescriptions for pharmacist final check, and package medications after final reviewReceive and verify written prescriptions and refill requests for completeness and accuracyMix pharmaceutical preparations according to written prescriptionsData EntryEnter new and refill prescription orders accurately into the pharmacy systemEnter and update resident, facility, and prescriber informationMaintain accurate records of dispensed medications, inventory counts, and vaccine/testing activityCatch and flag entry discrepancies before they reach the pharmacist for final checkVaccine & Immunization ReportingEnter and submit vaccine administration data to the required state reporting systems in a timely, accurate mannerTrack and reconcile vaccine billing — verify doses administered match doses billedMaintain point-of-care testing records and inventory dataSupport the pharmacist with vaccine inventory counts and expiration trackingDelivery & LogisticsCoordinate and stage medication orders for accurate, on-time delivery to facilitiesInventory & ComplianceMaintain proper storage and security conditions for all medicationsReceive and stock incoming supplies; verify quantities against invoicesCheck current inventory for outdated medications and flag stock needs/shortages to your supervisorReview resident consent forms for completenessFront Office & Billing SupportAnswer phone calls and schedule appointmentsMake outbound calls on outstanding account balancesGenerate and distribute billing statementsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDPharmacy experience preferred, especially long-term careComfortable with detailed, accurate data entry — this role has a real reporting/billing componentComfortable talking to people — this role has real customer/facility contactWorking knowledge of Excel, Word, and OutlookStrong attention to detail and follow-through — this work has zero room for errorAble to work independently once trained, and to ask for help when something's unclearA team-first attitude — we're a small crew and we cover for each other
