divh2Warehouse Inventory Specialist I - Sign On Referral Eligible (Open)/h2pThe materials management specialist I coordinates, administers, implements and assists in developing the supply support system that operates efficiently and meets the needs of the patient and the site/organization. Cleans, prepares, and transports medical equipment./pulliRequisitions, inspects, receives, and stocks inventory items for maintaining appropriate par levels./liliAssembles, repackages, or replenishes kits, components and carts./liliReplenishes supplies to ensure sufficient availability./liliMay assemble, disassemble and label shelving and storage units./liliPicks up and delivers medical equipment regularly to ensure availability where required./liliOperates computers and equipment. Makes sure effective and efficient utilization of Lawson MMIS, product utilization evaluations, responsible for product changes as directed, recommends effective min/max levels and critical order points, resolution of zero picks and daily monitoring of critical supply levels to prevent the onset of critical shortages./liliMonitors supplies for proper labeling, expiration dates and integrity of packaging./liliRecommends various cost controls over stock inventories./liliCoordinates requisitions, receipts and returns for assigned areas using established policies./liliCommunicates with vendors, physicians, nurses, patients, peers at other healthcare facilities./liliParticipates in product evaluations and changes./liliMay assist with new-employee orientation, computerization training and provides guidance to buyers or other support staff./li/ulpEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience can be accepted in lieu of education. Experience: none/ppLicensure, certification, and/or registration: none Other Minimum Qualifications: Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, e.g. Excel spreadsheets including formulas, sorting large amounts of data, and printing. Familiarity with automated procurement and inventory control systems. Ability to act independently with minimum supervision. Ability to work with others in a team setting. Ability to meet deadlines within short time frames. Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
