They are expected to lead the delivery of enhanced seed products, data insights, and prescriptions to the Product Development pipeline through utilization of accelerated breeding schemes and innovations in genomics, quantitative genetics, computational biology, and functional genomics.No. of Vacancies: 2**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Executes the technical strategy to design improved cohorts of germplasm that are aligned with Product Concept targets from initial crossing through the handoff to Product Development* Leverages model outputs to achieve measurable improvement of quantitative traits under selection* Fosters strong collaborative relationships with field testing, data science, engineering, molecular breeding, logistics, trait integration, Product Development, Market Development, and Commercial organizations to deliver a robust product pipeline* Ensures meaningful knowledge and data transfer during transition points per crop cycle timelines* Identifies key areas of opportunity for new technology implementation and/or process improvement, while positively contributing to a collaborative, innovative, and design-centric culture* Leads projects/initiatives with partner teams and across different global capability centers for development and implementation of Precision Breeding* Supports the Health Safety & Environment, Compliance, Business Conduct and Human Rights policies and culture**KEY WORKING RELATIONS:*** Breeding partner teams: Engineering & Data Science, Trait & Seed Innovation, regional Product Development* Teams within other Crop Science R&D functions: Plant Biotechnology, Field Solutions, Market Development, Product Supply, and Crop Strategy**WHO YOU ARE:*** PhD degree in Genetics (animal or plant) Plant Breeding, Animal Breeding, Quantitative Genetics with minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience or MS degree with 8+ years of experience in breeding programs, genetics or applied data science projects* Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to achieve common goals* Demonstrated experience leading and influencing activities of cross-functional teams without direct reporting relationships* Ability to lead and influence key stakeholders through challenges and opportunities; facilitates solutions while driving projects with full accountability* Results orientation with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously* Experience in analysis of large biological data sets, quantitative genetics, biostatistics, and functional genomics* Experience with GWS, GBS, Gene Editing is added advantage* Experience coding in R, Python or similar software**Bayer does not charge any fees whatsoever for recruitment process.
