Hiring Machine Operators in Northern DE

This role supports high-volume manufacturing of plastic components by operating production machinery, performing repetitive production tasks, and maintaining consistent quality standards. You will work with basic measuring tools, follow established procedures, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and organized production environment.

Pay: $18/hour

Shift: 1st

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery to produce parts in high volume.
• Perform repetitive production tasks such as loading materials, trimming, assembling, and packaging products.
• Inspect parts visually and with measuring tools to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Use basic measuring tools such as micrometers and gauges to support quality control processes as needed.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and all safety guidelines at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
• Report equipment issues, product defects, or safety concerns promptly to supervisors.
• Meet daily production, quality, and efficiency targets.
• Assist with basic machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support smooth production flow.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in a production, machining, or machine operation environment.
• Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of basic mechanical principles and how machinery operates.
• Ability to operate and monitor production machines and general machining equipment.
• Attention to detail with the ability to notice small defects and ensure precision in work.
• Basic math skills to measure and calculate dimensions and perform quality checks.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools such as micrometers and gauges.
• Problem-solving skills to identify issues and troubleshoot basic machinery problems.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination to handle tools and materials accurately.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Effective communication skills to work well with supervisors and team members.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, DE.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
