Our organization is in search of a part-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Infectious Disease Physician to enhance our outpatient infectious disease services in Lafayette, Indiana. The ideal applicant will possess outstanding diagnostic abilities, emphasizing communication, clinical excellence, and patient satisfaction. We seek someone who is organized and adept at managing multiple tasks in a dynamic setting. The physician should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and work collaboratively to ensure the delivery of top-notch care.

• Part-time schedule with no weekend or holiday shifts.

• On-call duties: Approximately one night every two weeks.

• Expected outpatient volume: 10-12 patients daily.

• Collaborate with our inpatient Infectious Disease Physicians and Nurse Practitioners within the Indiana Infectious Disease Department.

• Provide general infectious disease services in a community setting, including:

  • Collaboration with various surgical and medical specialties such as Cancer Center, Cardiovascular Surgery, and Orthopedics.

  • Access to full Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, and Gastroenterology services.

  • Onsite Infusion Center.

  • Onsite Wound Clinic.

  • Systemwide Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) team.

• Doctorate degree - Required.

• Physician License (MD/DO) - Required upon hire.

• Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if applicable) - Required upon hire.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association - Required upon hire.
