Enclosure Foreman

The Enclosure Foreman is responsible for overseeing the completion of projects in the Enclosure Department. This includes ensuring employee safety and productivity while demonstrating strong leadership skills. The role may involve occasional travel to conduct services off-site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure that all safety rules are followed at all times.
• Produce work schedules in accordance with the availability of employees, contractors, and labor laws.
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and train employees and contractors.
• Develop and oversee quality standards.
• Resolve conflicts or miscommunication quickly and amicably.
• Read drawings and blueprints and convey this information to others.

• Active electrical license in Iowa.
• Experience with managing multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
• Experience managing multiple crews on various projects at once.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Union position.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Additional related training or experience required.
• Pays close attention to detail.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure and good knowledge of hand tools.
• Excellent communication skills and well organized.
• Ability to assist and support others.

This facility is air-conditioned and was newly built in 2018, with expansions due to company growth. Employees have their own independent workspace, and union benefits are fully paid for those on the union side. There is an opportunity to join the union, and bi-annual performance reviews offer the chance for a pay raise each review.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a temperature-controlled facility with plans for expansion. Employees work the first shift from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4 pm. The dress code requires PPE steel-toed boots, long pants, t-shirts, and safety glasses. The team consists of 89 employees, with workload split among three foremen.

This is a Permanent position based out of Des Moines, IA.

The pay range for this position is $93600.00 - $116480.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Des Moines,IA.
