We are seeking a qualified and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who thrives in a dynamic post-acute setting. This role is ideal for someone who:

Position Overview:

This position will initially involve psychiatric rounding in two or three post-acute facilities, with an approximate census of 50-100 patients.
With the right personality and motivation, this role has significant growth potential. As volumes increase, additional provider support will be added to assist with follow-ups and care transitions.
Earning potential is uncapped, with opportunities to expand your footprint across additional facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-ups
• Diagnose and treat conditions including:
• Dementia-related behaviors
• Mood disorders
• Anxiety disorders
• Psychotic disorders
• Provide medication management and optimization
• Support and participate in Gradual Dose Reduction (GDR) initiatives
• Collaborate with:
• Facility nursing staff
• Social services
• Attending physicians and medical directors
• Participate in care transitions, including follow-ups and discharge coordination
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation
• Build strong, professional relationships within partner facilities

Qualifications:

• Active Florida ARPN license
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred but not required)
• Ability to provide malpractice history
• Ability to pass AHCA background screening
• Valid driver s license and reliable transportation
• 3 professional references to verify clinical competency
• COVID vaccination or approved exemption (if required by facility)

Schedule:

• Monday Friday
• Typically between 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, or as coordinated with facility needs
• Occasional after-hours calls may arise, though they are infrequent.
• Flexible scheduling with autonomy in daily workflow
