Reporting directly or operationally into the VP, Clinical Operations, the role supports the broader coordination of efforts across teams to ensure impactful contributions to AI integration Position Summary:The Director, Clinical Trial Finance will lead financial planning and oversight of clinical trial activities, including accruals, in support of the company’s development portfolio. Reporting to the Executive Director, FP&A, this role serves as a key strategic partner to Clinical Operations, Development, FP&A, and Accounting, ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and actionable insights to inform decision-making.The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in biotech finance, a thorough understanding of clinical development, and a strategic, hands-on approach to driving financial performance in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.This is an opportunity to play a critical role in advancing a global, publicly traded biotech company’s pipeline and supporting the successful execution of clinical programs.Job Responsibilities:Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for clinical trials; oversee financial management across programs, including accruals and variance analysis, in alignment with corporate objectives.Oversee financial management of clinical trial contracts, amendments, and compliance with financial terms.Partner closely with Accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting of clinical trial costs.Serve as the primary finance business partner to Clinical Operations, Development, and Program Management, providing insights and ad hoc financial reporting to support decision-making.Establish and maintain strong relationships with Contract Research Organizations (CROs), vendors, and external partners.Collaborate across Clinical organization to define key financial drivers, timelines and milestones for clinical trials. Lead audit readiness efforts and support internal and external audits related to clinical trial expenditures.Continuously enhance financial processes, systems, and internal controls to support scalability and operational excellence.Qualifications:Experience10+ years of finance experience, including 7+ years in increasingly responsible roles within finance and accounting, with significant experience supporting clinical trials in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.Deep industry experience with strong understanding of clinical development, industry dynamics, and key financial drivers.Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance, with deep expertise in accrual accounting and clinical trial financial management, including contracts and CRO oversight.Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.Advanced financial modeling and forecasting capabilities, including scenario planning and analysis.Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred ExperienceExperience supporting global clinical trials and managing financials across multiple currencies.Experience with NetSuite, Zip, and Condor preferred.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.EducationBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.CPA or MBA preferred.Travel Required:Occasional travel may be required based on business needs. Structure Therapeutics Inc. is an Equal-Opportunity Employer.Structure Therapeutics is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices, and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $205,000 - $250,000. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geography, qualifications, skills, and experience. At Structure, base pay is only one part of your total compensation package.
