Junior Accountant

The Junior Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, assisting with general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable activities, month-end close processes, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and posting of journal entries. Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities. Perform account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts. Process and verify accounts payable invoices and employee expense reports. Assist with accounts receivable, customer billing, and cash application activities. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Help prepare monthly financial statements and management reports. Track project-related expenses and provide support for production accounting activities. Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed asset accounting. Support internal and external audit requests. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls. Collaborate with production, operations, and administrative teams on accounting-related inquiries. Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as needed. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. 0-2 years of accounting experience, including internships. Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis functions. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Preferred Experience or internship within media, entertainment, advertising, production, or creative industries. Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics. Exposure to production accounting or project-based accounting environments. CPA candidate or interest in pursuing professional accounting certification.
