Salary: $275K – $315K
Hybrid Schedule: 2 remote days per week
Job Summary:
National Law Firm is seeking a mid-level Employment Associate with 5-7 years of experience to advise employers on workplace compliance issues and represent clients in a wide range of employment disputes. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys a mix of counseling, drafting, and litigation responsibilities.
What You'll Do:
- Advise employers on employment law compliance, risk management, and workplace best practices.
- Draft employee handbooks, policies, and employment-related agreements.
- Counsel clients on wage and hour compliance, paid sick leave, discrimination, retaliation, and emerging workplace issues, including AI-related employment concerns.
- Represent employers in state and federal court litigation, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative proceedings.
- Prepare and argue motions, conduct depositions, manage discovery, and develop case strategy.
- Draft responses to agency charges and position statements before federal and state agencies.
- Conduct witness interviews and workplace investigations.
- Draft and negotiate employment contracts, restrictive covenant agreements, and severance agreements.
What You'll Bring:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice in New York.
- 5-7 years of employment law counseling and litigation experience.
- Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience advising employers on federal, state, and local employment law compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and a practical, client-focused approach.
