The Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is based in Charleston, West Virginia. This role involves providing quality patient care in a specialized setting, supervising staff, and ensuring adherence to safety and clinical standards. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details

• Location: Charleston, West Virginia
• Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (CIRH only), a minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience
• Responsibilities include performing initial patient assessments within 8 hours of admission, developing and implementing individualized care plans, documenting all patient interactions accurately and timely, participating in patient rehabilitation programs, initiating discharge planning, and providing patient and family education.
• Provides supervision and direction to nursing and ancillary staff using effective problem-solving and delegation skills.
• Maintains communication with the healthcare team to support continuity of care, ensures safety protocols are followed, and contributes to a positive team environment.
• Assumes charge responsibilities following orientation as requested, and actively pursues professional development through continuing education.
• Behavior Characteristics: Demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, safety focus, and resourcefulness in clinical practice.
