Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
The OR RN will be responsible for providing specialized perioperative nursing care in a high-volume surgical environment. The role involves preparing the operating room, assisting surgeons, and ensuring patient safety and efficient surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by arranging equipment and ensuring sterility for scheduled surgeries.
• Assist surgeons during a variety of procedures, maintaining sterile technique and supporting clinical needs.
• Maintain and decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment, keeping accurate inventory records.
• Ensure proper documentation of procedures, implants, specimens, and intraoperative activities using Meditech.
• Monitor patient status throughout surgery, providing appropriate interventions as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and call requirements, including weekend, evening, and overnight shifts.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid BLS and ACLS certification.
• Have at least 2 years of current experience in an acute hospital operating room setting.
• Demonstrate strong experience in ortho, neuro, and robotics procedures.
• Must have Meditech documentation system experience.
• Capable of functioning independently and adaptable to fast-paced surgical environments.
