Position Overview

As a Respiratory Therapist (RT), you will provide respiratory care services, administer treatments, and monitor residents’ pulmonary status. You will play a vital role in a collaborative healthcare team, helping residents achieve optimal respiratory function and overall well-being.

RT Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program

• Active New York State Respiratory Therapist (RT) license

• BLS certification required

• Experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute care preferred (new graduates welcome)

• Strong communication, assessment, and patient care skills

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy

• Monitor patients’ pulmonary status and document changes

• Assist with ventilator care and respiratory support as needed

• Educate residents and families on respiratory health and therapy techniques

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinical and regulatory guidelines

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes

• Ensure compliance with facility policies and professional standards

Schedule

• Full-Time position

• 8-hour shifts

• In-person role

Compensation

• $50/hour

• $2,000 Sign-On Bonus
