Journeyman's Featherbone Factory located in Three Oaks, Michigan, is seeking a General Manager to lead all things hospitality. This includes our Staymaker full-service restaurant, private events, retail, and tours. The General Manager will build and maintain the service hospitality culture while ensuring smooth, efficient, and profitable operations. All team members must uphold and embody Journeyman’s Core Values which represent the culture, attitude, and immediate priorities ensuring our cohesion and success.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

HAPPY PEOPLE

Implement strategic plans to achieve objectives in alignment with broader organizational strategies. Ensure positive relationships with tenants, guests, and other stakeholders. Lead and manage a team, including hiring, training, and performance management. Execute menus according to established standards. Conduct the Journeyman Employee Ecosystem as per the process with every direct report. Manage the resourcing of roles within the department with a focus on cultural fit. Coach team members to effectively complete tasks, communicate effectively with other stakeholders, and grow their skills. Oversee performance management of direct reports including terminations, ensuring positive and respectful relationships are maintained.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Oversee budget including expensesand staffing. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Analyze financial performance metrics. Streamline operational processes and workflows. Monitor and manage inventory levels. Analyze data to anticipate operational needs. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. Review Scorecard Metrics and provide reports and updates to leadership and key stakeholders.

WELCOMING SPACES

Establish and maintain a welcoming ambiance, considering the preferences and needs of the target audience. Enforce rigorous cleaning and maintenance protocols. Adhere to measures which ensure guest safety. Encourage guest interactionand engagement. Solicit feedback from guests regarding their experience of the property’s spaces.
