Accounts Payable Clerk

NativState is an Arkansas-based carbon development and environmental consulting company. We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing finance team. Position Summary The Accounts Payable Clerk will manage day-to-day AP functions across NativState's multiple entities, ensuring bills are processed, coded, and paid accurately and on time. This role reports to the Controller and works closely with the broader accounting team. Responsibilities Process vendor invoices and code them to the correct entity, department, and GL account across a multi-entity structure Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts; resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams Prepare and process payment runs (checks, ACH, wires) in accordance with approval workflows Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues in a timely, professional manner Assist with month-end close tasks related to accounts payable Support internal and external audits with documentation as needed Handle occasional physical filing as needed (the office is largely paperless) Assist with 1099 issuance Serve as the company's point person for Ramp, including adding and managing users, setting up and maintaining approval workflows for reimbursements, and troubleshooting day-to-day platform questions Qualifications 1-3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience Experience working across multiple entities/companies strongly preferred Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop preferred) Experience with Ramp is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritize workload Excellent written and verbal communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
