- Coordinate and oversee engaging, person-centered memory care programming
- Ensure programs comply with company standards and state and federal regulations
- Plan daily activities and coordinate assignments for staff, volunteers, and entertainers
- Complete required documentation and maintain compliance
- Organize special events, family gatherings, educational programs, and holiday celebrations
- Serve as a resource for residents, families, and staff regarding Alzheimer's disease and dementia care
- Assist with dementia-focused education and training for team members
- Communicate with families regarding resident participation, successes, and changing needs
- Observe and report changes in resident behavior or condition to the nursing team
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department planning
- Support Alzheimer's awareness and community outreach efforts
- Assist residents as needed to ensure a safe, engaging, and meaningful environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by facility leadership
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory care is strongly preferred
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, healthcare, recreation, activities, or a related field is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, Education, Social Work, Recreation Therapy, or a related field is preferred, but not required
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Detail-oriented and comfortable with documentation and computer systems
- Compassionate, dependable, creative, and team-oriented
